My name is Roger Sexton and I have been engaged in neighborhood and community development 18 years and healthcare project management since 2014. During my neighborhood days, I developed materials regarding organizing and leadership that I have chosen to share with anyone interested in these topics. I have worked for local government both city and county organizations as well as nonprofit neighborhood, housing, and economic development organizations. I will never claim to be an expert in any one of these disciplines, but my exposure to all of them has made me into a great assert when the topic of community development comes up.
My healthcare project management experience has allowed me to look deep inside of how hospitals operate and how things get done. I have worked on IT and operations-based projects. From developing research networks to optimizing primary care, my experience has made me extremely capable of engaging in the topics of healthcare. Today and in the future, healthcare is poised to get more involved in community development as the social determinants of health are becoming more important to how hospitals are reimbursed. I believe I can be a great asset whenever these two topics collide.
